Building Your New Home
Discovery Meeting
Whether you're building in one of our communities or on your own lot, the journey begins with a Discovery Meeting. This initial conversation allows us to understand your vision and guide you through key details, including:
- Your dream home design and must-have features
- Lot selection or insights on your own land, including utilities, home placement, and unique considerations
- Establishing a budget range
- Outlining the construction timeline and process
- Exploring financing options and connecting with preferred lenders, if needed
This meeting sets the foundation for a smooth and personalized homebuilding experience.
Lot Reservation / Lot Walk
If you're considering a lot in one of our communities, we offer a 10-day lot reservation while we finalize the details of pricing your custom home. This ensures your ideal lot is secured, giving you peace of mind as we refine your plans.
For those building on their own lot, we provide a complimentary lot walk, assessing potential home placement, topography, and any anticipated above-grade costs to help you make informed decisions.
Design Agreement
When you're ready to start designing your new home, we move forward with the Design Agreement. Here’s what to expect:
- Your Sales Consultant will guide the collaboration with our 3 Pillar Architectural Designer.
- Together, we’ll create a floor plan, exterior elevation design, and conduct a site study for optimal home placement.
- You'll visit our Design Studio to explore our luxury finishes and determine if any additional selections should be factored into your budget.
This step ensures your home is thoughtfully designed to match your vision and lifestyle.
Contract
Your Sales Consultant will work closely with you to finalize your budget and complete the necessary contract paperwork.
Before beginning the permitting process, we’ll schedule a Pre-Start Meeting to review your blueprints in detail and walk through the selection process with our designer.
Throughout the custom home-building journey, open communication with your builder is essential. Regular check-ins and updates ensure your home stays aligned with your vision and expectations.
Construction
The start of construction is an exciting milestone! By this point, you’ve been working closely with our Designer to finalize your selections, while our team has been securing your building permit.
Before excavation begins, we’ll hold a Builder-Buyer Conference Meeting to kick off the process. During this meeting, we’ll walk you through the construction timeline, outline scheduled walk-throughs, and address any questions you may have.
Beyond these walk-throughs, your Project Manager will provide weekly updates on your home’s progress. We also utilize a dedicated software platform called BuilderTrend to streamline communication, track home costs, and manage signed documents, ensuring full transparency throughout the build.
